About the Museum
A personal digital banknote museum — built one note at a time.
This catalog started as a small personal habit: collecting banknotes while traveling, from family, and from local dealers, then wanting a proper place to record them — beyond a spreadsheet or a shoebox. Every note here has a front photo, a back photo, and as much detail as could be tracked down: denomination, year, series, catalog reference, condition, and the story of how it was acquired.
The goal isn't completeness for its own sake — it's a living record of a collection that grows one country at a time, with historical and defunct issuers (the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, the Austro-Hungarian Empire) sitting alongside notes still in circulation today.
Consistent photography
Every note is photographed front and back against the same background, lighting, and crop — so the catalog reads as one coherent collection rather than a scrapbook.
Pick catalog references
Where known, each note is tagged with its Standard Catalog of World Paper Money (Pick) reference number, alongside series, year, and issuing currency.
Privacy & publishing rules
Serial numbers are masked on public pages, and images are kept low-resolution where a central bank's usage policy calls for it. This is a personal, non-commercial catalog.
